Scholarships

HOW AND WHEN TO APPLY

The application and required attachments should be submitted online prior to 11:59 pm, March 1, 2022.

WE WILL ALSO NEED THE FOLLOWING

  • A transcript from your high school signed by a school official.
  • One letter of recommendation from a local community leader other than an educator (examples include elected official, local business leader, clergy/pastor, etc.).
  • An essay (500 words or less) discussing how RTC Networks services have impacted
    your life.

CRITERIA & ELIGIBILITY

  • Complete and sign the application and submit with the additional required documents.
  • Be a graduating high school senior entering your freshman year of college in the fall of 2022.
  • Be a current member of RTC Networks. To be a member, you or your parents/guardians must have service from RTC Networks.
  • Be a United States citizen.
  • Have a ā€œCā€ (2.0) average or better grade 9 through December of grade 12.
  • Be accepted by an accredited two-year or four-year college or university, or vocational-technical school.
  • Have been involved in 4 different extra-curricular activities (school, employment, community) during high school. List each activity only once, regardless of the number of years involved.

AWARD PROCEDURE

  • Applications will be reviewed and winners selected by a qualified review committee.
  • Winners will be notified in May 2022.
  • Scholarships will be awarded on a one-time basis and will not be renewable.
  • The scholarship check will be mailed to the Financial Aid Office of the institution you will be attending. The check will be made out in the names of the scholarship recipient and the institution. The amount of the scholarship will be divided into two equal disbursements with half disbursed in the first semester and the remaining half in the second semester.
  • Scholarship recipient must maintain a ā€œCā€ (2.0) average or better during their first semester in order to receive the second semester disbursement.
  • If a recipient withdraws from school or elects to attend a non-accredited school after receiving a scholarship, the scholarship will be terminated and any refunds from the school will go to RTC Networks.
  • Scholarships will be awarded without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender or disability. Children of current RTC Networks employees or directors are ineligible.
